Mr. Thurairajah is responsible for managing and delivering highway and bridge projects. With more than fifteen years of experience, he has provided geotechnical design and construction recommendations for over 400 bridges, more than 500 standard and nonstandard retaining walls, and more than 300 miles of roadway. He has prepared Structure Preliminary Geotechnical Reports; Preliminary and Final Foundation Reports; District Preliminary Geotechnical Reports; Geotechnical Design Reports; and Preliminary and Final Materials Reports in compliance with California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) standards for numerous bridge and freeway projects during the PA/ED and PS&E phases.

Having successfully delivered projects from PA/ED through PS&E and construction, Mr. Thurairajah has a thorough understanding of the Caltrans project delivery process. His technical expertise includes foundation design, earth-retaining structure design, seismic hazard evaluations, liquefaction assessment, slope-stability analyses, pavement structural section design, ADL studies, and pile-drivability studies. He has managed several large transportation projects and is known for delivering high-quality work on accelerated schedules.

Mr. Thurairajah earned his M.S. in civil engineering from the University of California, Los Angeles, and is a registered civil and geotechnical engineer in California.
